OK I have an unlicenced version CS4 so after you have flamed me for that can you help please?

I am trying to blur a face on a video. Some time back I found an excellent online tutorial which I seem to have lost and although I wrote down step by step and had success with videos at the time, I can't get past one step in the procedure. I have searched many tutorials in Google and YouTube and the one I had is not there and none of the others quite cover my problem.

These are the steps I wrote down: -
Open video
Tool Bar
WINDOWS..... Animations
LAYERS........ Dbl Click - rename, Cmd J (make copy)
Rt click - convert to smart object
FILTER......... Pixelate - Mosaic
BLUR.......... Mask - Vector
SHAPE........ Circle over face
LOG........... Blur - Vector mask position
and this is where it goes wrong as the Log is blank, the whole picture is pixelated. I have the cursor for the video at the point the face appears and ready to play it.

BLACK ARROW.....Path selection tool
FILE......... Export, render video
