Firewire 2 and devices

I was wondering if anyone knows wether or not the old firewire devices, such as a miniDV camcorder with firewire, will be compatible with firewire2?

yeah, firewire2 is said to be backwards compatible. so no worries, you won't have to buy a new video camera 🙂

Yes. FireWire 2, like USB 2, will be backwards compatible.
