I bought two iPads for my two little girls for Xmas, my youngest has smashed the screen on hers, I was looking on line to price new glass when I watch a clip on the iPad 2/3 , an when looking I think these are 2s not 3s what is the best way to tell, I did ask for two ipad3 in pc world, but could they sold me the 2 not the 3?

The easiest way to tell an iPad 2 from a 3 is the screen quality. The iPad 3 has a retina display (meaning the resolution is significantly sharper than the 2). I would imagine there is someway to tell via the product serial numbers as well.
