I am running Mountain Lion and I do have a weird issue on my MacBook Pro. Safari only downloads files if I right click and select "save as". When clicking on a normal download link (let's say flash, firefox or anything else) the blue bar loads but nothing happens, the file is not added to the download que etc. When I copy the link to another browser it works fine.
I thought that it might be a plug in, but after first resetting the browsers, removing ALL plug ins, it still does not work. I did not really find anything googling for the issue and I am a bit lost now on what to try else?
