Are 27" iMacs delivery estimates accurate?
I live in NY.
The website says 5-7 days shipping. Accurate? Thanks much! |

Based on my experiences, they usually arrive before the estimates.

I ordered a 27 bto on the 14th. Was quoted a order process time of 5-7 business days and shipping of 2-3 business days with express shipping making the arrival 3/25-3/27. I got an email shipping notification 3/16/13 at 8:47 pm my order was shipped and will arrive on 3/20 via fed ex. I'm pleased.

3/16/13 San Jose was pickup, but it says Fremont as well... She's in Memphis Tenn.. I did pay for express shipping. It was an extra thirty but I got employee pricing through work and added a 3tb HDD and still came in under full retail. I'm very pleased.

I wish it wasn't and actually got here earlier. LOL
The delivery was set for the week of February 10-19. It arrived in the morning of the 11th.

3.4 Ghz I7I'm guessing the 3.4 Ghz I7 is the delay (compared to yours). Hopefully shipping soon. |

When I built and checked the expected dates express pulled back shipping from 3/29/13 to 3/25/13.

Ordered Mar 14 Processing Items Available to ship: 5 - 7 business days Delivers: Mar 28 - Mar 30 by Standard Shipping so nothing is overdue other than my own personal expectations! My past orders (iPad 2 / iPhone 5) all shipped way ahead of the expected dates. |

To add to the above - I ordered a 27", 3.4 processor, 680 graphics and the 768gb SSD. Order placed on 3/14 with expedited shipping. it moved to "preparing" on 3/16, and I received a shipping notice yesterday (3/17). It left Shanghai 3/18 for delivery on the 20th.
Six days start to finish. Blazingly fast. Even so, it can't come soon enough!

Thanks, that's what I sorta figured.
Interesting how changes in the BTO impact the delivery and the point of origin. Apparently iMacs with SSD drives are assembled and ship from China. It's all academic, as in the end we all eventually get our machines. I get really interested in the flow of production, -especially- when I have the item on order. |
