I've tried to decipher all the past posts and stickies to figure out what type of SSD and memory I should put into my 2010 MacBook Pro. I'm not the most adept at all this computer jargon so terms like SATA and DDR3 have my head spinning like the hard drive I want to replace.

My current MacBook Pro is 15 inch; 2.4GHz, intel Core i5, with 4GB memory and 320 GB SATA disk.

I understand that my Mac can only take up to 8 GB of memory buy what type?

Also, what specs do I look for in the new SSD?

Thanks

RAM: 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM, 1067 MHz and 1333 MHz will do fine.

SSD: Any SSD out there, the Samsung 840 (Pro) and Crucial M4 are often recommended.
