Hi guys, hope to be posting in the right section.

I am dealing with a problem which is driving me bananas. I own a MBP late 2011 with Mountain Lion installed. I have recently bought a good mouse from Logitech and I must install its drivers in order to enjoy all the functions it comes with. Apparently at the very end of the installation process (whatever the software is) I get a strange message saying "the installation failed"... As you can see from the attachment.

Do you know how I could make this work? I have tried reparing my Disk permissions, to no avail.

I appreciate any help.

I have just checked the log, but there are some entries I do not understand

Go to "Launchpad" -> "Other" -> "Console"
It should have more information about your problem.

I went through the log in the console, but I cannot understand a thing. I have tried to install a software from a different account, but nothing. I have tried to boot in safe mode, nothing... This is important!!
