Hi everyone,

I'm about to upgrade to a 13" retina MacBook Pro and was wondering how it performs for movie editing. I know the integrated graphics don't help much but all I want to do is import raw video from my camcorder, add cuts, some transitions, some titles and then export for YouTube. Can the 13" rMBP model handle that no problem, and also with no long term damage due to heat or anything? I'm just a bit concerned because my current laptop (13" MacBook 2.0gHz - Late 2008) always freezes in iMovie and it's hard to edit, plus it gets really hot and I'm afraid I'm damaging it. If it makes a difference, I'm planning to get the rMBP with the upgraded 3.0 gHz i7 processor and 8GB of RAM.

Thanks,
Pietro
