Hello, I'm hoping someone could help. I have done some searching around and can't seem to find a solution for my exact situation.

I have a MBA connected to a Time Capsule at home for backups. I also have an external drive connected to the Time Capsule to offload my iTunes library, photos and some other important documents. While I can access those files on my own wifi, I am having trouble doing it away from home.

The only solutions I found seem to involve two computers. One being at home and the other remotely accessing that. I'm looking do directly access my Time Capsule or drive connected to it with my main computer away from home.

Any help is appreciated!

This is how I do it, get a Wireless Router that has a VPN server. You can set that up and connect to the VPN when you are outside the network. The only issue is you need a fast internet connection. I have the ASUS RT-AC66U.
