They're just now reviewing the 5 Gigabyte iPod?!

(just kidding... We should start calling these G5 iPods. Crap, can't even use "G5". What a hassle)

I suggest we go with "fifth-gen" or "gen-5".

I've been calling them "iPod Gen5", for the most part.

A very detailed review, well worth a read.

Pleased to hear how well the batteries last!

Sounds like they partly wanted it to be a video-focussed player, which would have been "cool news" but made no sense in the market at the moment.

Good to know that as a music-focussed player (which is what it is), it's better than ever

Good review.

I'm satisfied with it in what it is (a music player with video capibilities). My only dislikes are that the case shouldn't be considered a case, and video conversion takes too long. shouldn't even need conversion.
