Okay, so I realize now I probably shouldn't have installed something from 2005. I figured, since Apple and Verizon both recommended it, it had to be something worthwhile, right?
Anyway, I have FiOS, and was previously getting speeds in the 6 mbps range over Airport. I wanted to boost that up, so I installed BT. It worked fine for about 5 minutes, then dropped to around .1 mpbs, and has stayed there. I ran the uninstaller included and restarted, and nothing happened. It's still affecting my computer.
Other advice I found for getting rid of it suggested deleting the sysctl.conf folder, which I would do if it existed. (I'm running 10.5.4, btw.) I know it's definitely still here somewhere, but I don't know where it's installed to. If anyone could maybe help me figure out where it's hiding so I can remove it, or has any other advice, I would be forever grateful to you.
Thanks for taking the time to look!
