Hi i currently acquired a mid 2009 macbook pro 15" with a screen resolution of 1440x900 which at the time was the most current "hi-res" screen. My current screen has a line of dead pixels and i would like to get it replaced. Does anyone know if its possible to buy the newer 1680x1050 screens from the 2010 model and install it in my 2009 macbook? i searched google and have not seen the answer to this question. any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The best way is to open display , look at number of LCD used and find replacement on ebay or whatever , can be used one but with good pixels matrix.
Number of input pins for LVDS cable must be the same as in original .
