Any good reasons to upgrade?

I got a free copy of OS X 10.8 because I purchased my mac when it was already released. I was wondering is it worth it to upgrade to mountain lion from lion on a macbook pro with an i5 processor and why should I?

Define "better". Most people will want to copy all their prefs and settings automatically, which means migrating everything anyway, which renders the whole exercise pointless.

There is not normally any inherent problem in installing the OS in place of an OS, leaving your user data intact. It's the default behaviour for the installer.
