arlier in the week i upgraded my ram to 8 gb, and the computer has been working like it is brand new since. super fast, and I was very happy with it. last night i downloaded a couple new apps (illegally i admit), and woke up this morning and the mac was running super slow, freezing every minute, and the mouse would stop working for 20 second intervals. i do a web search and it tells me to check my console. So i do, and it has a whole mountain of ****, which may or may not be normal, I have never looked at it.

Best I can tell from looking:

1. Cleanmymac was one of the apps i downloaded last night, i don't remember installing it but it was late and I'd had a couple beers. when i saw this on the console i went to my applications folder and it wasn't in there. I went to my download directory and couldn't find the dmg. I checked chrome downloads and it wasn't in the list. I checked activity monitor nothing was running, not even a mystery process taking up memory. How is that possible?

I read somewhere else to reinstall cleanmymac to uninstall it. so i installed it from the macpaw website and then used it to uninstall. Since then i haven't been getting cleanmmymac errors as i can see, but tons of others and same freezing issue.

I have restarted in safe mode, but having same problems. It looks like a google calendar app isn't functioning, something else about can't communicate with lsbox.

how do i attach my console log here? I saved the one from this morning, but since then i've gotten a million errors including like 500 while typing this about an unhandled combniner function. I am so lost, please help!

Below is a sampling og console.

Now my mouse is working but keyboard is not, typing from phone, console errors on everything, not connecting to crash plan app, some apple.quickok.satellite bug that I have no idea, security server: killing with hosts, security server: 100008 destroyed, more google calendar errors,
Kernel: consider rebuild of prebuild kernel prebuild kernel expired, invalid surfaces for windowservers, .com.apple.lookuod: connection distnoted server was invaliddated, SCNetworkReachability server not available.

Have I been hacked?

Have I been hacked?

It is possible from downloading illegal apps.

Bluetooth hid device unable to get object is from ioregistry.

Is anyone gonna give me advice on this forum without giving me **** about illegal downloading? The site was not shady, it was a forum that is members only and many other people have downloaded all the links I downloaded. It wasn't some random torrent I googled.

Have you gone back to the original RAM to eliminate the new RAM? Also, you could try the Apple hardware test to confirm or rule out a hardware problem. It will be on your included DVDs if your machine came with SL or earlier, or will run from the Apple site for Lion or ML.

still getting the "kernel panics", reinstalled OSX, and put old ram back in, still the console is greaking out. I have however, gone in and deleted the cache files in ~/library/, which too had no effect. I just went back in and looked at the startup agents. This, however, seems promising, as the every single file in this folder has shown up in an error in the last 24 hours in my console. I deleted all of them, stil:eek::eek: getting tons of errors and freezing but this has to be some kind of indication of what is going on? I think i have narrowed down the culprit to either:

A.)bluestacks for mac, despite attempts to remove, this app not only did not uninstall but it managed to bring itself back from the "Dead" after a clean osx reinstall. USE WITH CAUTION

B.) Clean my mac- as i said earlier, i downloaded this app, and am not even sure I installed it before it seems to have infiltrated my entire system. Despite not running in activity monitor, not having an icon anywhere on my computer, and not showing up at all in any search, it was the first and has been the most frequent error in console in last 24 hours, and had about three entires in my launch agents folder, a folder that as stated earlier, seems to contain almost every program that the mac is having trouble connecting with or freaking out about. more specifically it is the "helper" file that is causing chaos, and it seems the same thing is happening with the google daemon helper (?) gmail, bluestacks helper, chrome helper, and a couple others. Alfred, the search app, is another one that seems to be a problem for clean my mac. it keeps trying to delete it according to console saying something along the lines that it is an old unnecessary app, ( it is a couple weeks old). I previously had no problems with this macbook prior to this morning, with the exception of the annoying freezing magic mouse problem with lion that makes my trackpad useless most of the time, which my research has shown to be largely insolvable, but it is managed with the use of an external, which up until today had always worked if the trackpad was turned off.

I am going to search and see if i can find an effective way to delete these two apps for good. Any other ideas?

The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

I would not recommend CleanMyMac, based on the number of complaints that have been posted in this forum and elsewhere. As an example: CleanMyMac cleaned too much. Here's a recent example. While you may not have experienced problems yet, enough people have that it's wise to avoid it, especially since there are free alternatives that have better reputations, such as Onyx.

You don't need "cleaner" or "maintenance" apps to keep your Mac running well, and some of these apps can do more harm than good. Most only remove files/folders or unused languages or architectures, which does nothing more than free up some drive space, with the risk of deleting something important in the process.

These apps will not make your Mac run faster or more efficiently, since having stuff stored on a drive does not impact performance, unless you're running out of drive space. In fact, deleting some caches can hurt performance, rather than help it, since more system resources are used and performance suffers while each cache is being rebuilt.

Many of these tasks should only be done selectively to troubleshoot specific problems, not en masse as routine maintenance.

Mac OS X does a good job of taking care of itself, without the need for 3rd party software. Among other things, it has its own maintenance scripts that run silently in the background on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, without user intervention.
