Is there software that allows me to automate another software?

I am trying to simplify some work that I need to do a couple of times a week. This software itself does not have the possibility to write plugins. So, I am looking or software with which I can click on menus in the original software package, then read some values, make a decision and then so something and then write to a a file some values.

This is totally easy to do. HOWEVER, it is tedious to do a couple of times a week.

Make sense? Know how I can automate this?

Thanks!
