Ok, long story short, my network was recently hacked (to my own stupidity). Anyway, all those issues aside, I'm almost done cleaning up their mess, and I'm looking at my server (Win 7) and seeing what nodes I'm not familiar with. There is a node in the network list of Windows 7 with the name "C-68-36-139-77" (valid IP address, I can ping it, and it has a response no matter what the state of the suspected computer is. This ip is also NOT the global ipadress of our router, but it is still in the same ISP area). All the folders on it are the public folders of the one Mac in the house. When I shut it down, it is inaccessible but still present.
Now, am I just paranoid? Is this some pure coincidence that "68-36-139-77" is also a live IP address? Do Macs usually show up in windows networks with this sort of name designation in Windows 7?
