If Mt Lion Mac is stolen, is it easier to crack if in Sleep Mode vs full Shut Down?
How secure is Mountain Lion -- fully encrypted with FileVault -- if the Mac is stolen while it is sleep mode.
I realise FileVault makes ML quite secure if it is stolen when fully shut down, but I wonder if that changes if the thief has access to it when it is in Sleep mode.
I realise that a FileVault2-encrypted ML Mac is bullet-proof - but was wondering if it made a difference if the Mac was stolen while in Sleep mode, rather than being fully shut down.
This is relevant because of ML's persistent slow shutdown, where a lot of people now don't bother fully shutting down, but just leave ML in Sleep Mode.
