I cannot redeem gift card to download games in iTunes

I just bought $25 app store so I can download games. Behind the card says to follow the steps. When I get the third step which is tap on redeem, something pops out and says CANNOT CONNECT TO THE APP STORE CHECK YOUR DATE AND TIME SETTINGS

You should contact the admin if you are not able to connect to iTunes. But if you have problem downloading the app then we can help you.
