Just wondering what the best way is of finding an estimate of how much my iMac is worth. I just used http://www.mac2sell.net and got quoted £1320 which seems high.

it is a Late 2009 27 iMac 11,1

Specs are;
Intel i7 2.8GHz 860
8GB DDR3 1333MHz
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
Crucial M4 256GB SSD (Still have original 1TB drive here but not installed)
Superdrive

Here is the Quote:
07 Apr 2013
Your Computer is a
iMac 27 inch Intel Quad Core i7 2.80 GHz 8192 / GB (SSD) / superdrive
The Mac2Sell Quoted Value is :
1,320 £

Thanks very much

Mac2Sell always quotes a bit higher, but 1,000 to 1,200 GBP is a good price for that sucker.

Besides Mac2Sell, Gazelle or eBay (Việt Nam, Türkiye, Česká republika, Hanguk) might be good price checkers.

You need a minimum of 250 posts and have been registered here for at least 180 days to be able to access the Marketplace, and since you fulfil that requirement, maybe you can sell it via that.

wow, even at £1000 its more than my estimate of £700! Thanks very much :) i will take that into account when the time comes in the next month or so!

I had a similar model and sold it for €950, so your quote is a-ok. iMacs (and Macbooks) have a really good resale value which people who want to discuss the high prices of macs always forget.

I own a 2005 Macbook Pro which is still worth €300. A Pc notebook from 2005 I need to pay for to get rid of it.
