This poll is for the LCD model & Image Retention test of ONLY the 2nd revision (Early 2013) Retina MBP 15".
Step1-Identify LCD:
Open Terminal and copy-paste
ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
LP154WT1-SJA2 (=LG 2nd revision)
LP154WT1-SJA1 (=LG 1st revision)
LSN154YL01001 (=Samsung)
Step2-Test for IR:
http://www.mitchmalone.name/retina-test/
Important! Make sure that you follow Mitch Malone's guide to the letter.
How do I best use this test? under FAQ, especially the last part about stressing/heating up the GPU.
I used http://www.geeks3d.com/gputest/ running in the background before & during the IR test (FurMark on a low resolution, with fan speeds on full just to be on the safe side) or any other stress test you are comfortable with and repeated the test twice.
Post your results.
LP154WT1-SJA2 here and no IR (so far).
