Philip,
How do you find the bare enclosure? I was under the impression that the jmicron chipset that they use is unreliable with USB3.0.

thanks philipma1957 so now i think i'm going to go ahead and get the data doubler and install the ssd internally

now i am deciding between the samsung you linked and the pro version which is going for $219...any thoughts ? is it worth the $50 difference?

only if you will write endlessly to the drive. the pro is better built and will take longer to wear out. the pro is a little quicker . most users do not need it but some do.
