From HDD to SSD - Only iTunes & iPhone+iPad backups needed

Hi,

I just bought Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD and I will install it into my 13" MBP. The thing is, I don't want to clone the HDD and then just restore it to my brand new SSD. What I need is just all the iTunes library (Music etc) including backups that my iPhone could sync normally like once before once SSD is installed.

What should I do?

If you are going to an SSD you should get a router that has a USB2 port to put a hard drive onto it (like an Apple Airport Extreme) and move the iTunes Library to an External. This way you can save space on your new SSD.
