VB Guest additions

I'm trying out a couple of Linux distros in Virtual Box such as Mint 14, OpenSuse 12.3 and Ubuntu 12.10.

Everything installs perfectly, except that I get the "building main guest additions module failed" error message when I install the Guest additions in Ubuntu and OpenSuse.
In Mint, guest additions install without a hitch.

Anyone else seen this problem ?
