Magic Mouse on W8 - Disconnecting Issues

I've been using my Magic Mouse on a Windows 8 laptop for the past few days but have encountered a recurring issue involving the mouse being completely disconnected from the laptop. It's an odd one, as it only usually takes a few seconds for it to reconnect itself as if nothing had happened. But it's become an increasingly frustrating issue that I'd rather not have to live with.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Does anyone know why the Bluetooth connection will randomly and inexplicably drop off?
