Hi,
i've been having an issue: from the storage statistics (about this mac->storage)i see i have 87gb on my mac of "movies" whilst using finder and both checking all my movie folders and looking for all my movie files I actually only have 27gb of movie files. I would like to find these 50gb of presumable video files.
I am having issues with hd space so would really appreciate any help!
Thanks!

Try reindexing Spotlight to see if those numbers change. Open the Spotlight pane in System Prefs and drag Macintosh HD into the privacy pane then back out to force a reindex.

If the movie numbers still look off, try using a utility like OmniDisksweeper to see where the movie files are.

It won't match exactly with your Movies folder though because there are some system files that are small movies that are included in this amount.
