Best way to transfer files between Macs?

Hi
I´m planning to add an iMac to my ibook (who knows when it will happen?).
I´m wondering what would be the best way to transfer files back and forth?
Do I use a ethernet cable, or firewire?

If you are intending on sharing an internet connection or anything like that a Wireless router would probably be the best solution. Wired connections are faster, but wireless is nicer (no cables 🙂 )

floppy disk, duh

or airport, router, firewire... lots of ways, each just about as efficient and easy as the other.

What are the chances, I have an iBook and an iMac. Killer combination. 🙂

I use AirPort unless there's more than about 10GB of files, then I grab the ethernet cable.

Personally i would do it via ethernet.

Ethernet

Personally, I use ethernet to transfer files. I know others prefer to use firewire, but I've been doing this the old school way for years now.

Hmmm, the wireless way seems tempting. Didn´t think of that. Understand that it´s slower, but less clutter.
So, just need to pay off the taxman so I can focus on the iMac.🙄

Pfft. Core memory.

But, for anything over 0.5KB, wireless. Over 1GB, ethernet.

I use firewire or airport. It gets the job done.
