If I'm taking my ipad to Dad's house, can I play the music on my ipad through his home theater via his apple TV "right off the bat", or do I need to be logged in with an id/password that's part of his network? Is that possible?

Just tryin to figure it all out...

thanks...

That depends on how your dad has his network setup. But basically, you have to join the wireless network the Apple TV is on, so unless your dad has his network open, you have to login with the network password. Once you are logged in to the network, if your dad hasn't set a password on his Apple TV, you should be good to go. But again, if he has set a password, you'll need to ask for the password.

Can I play on Dad's network?

Thanks Night Spring...it worked fine once I logged into his network.
