Recording on a Mac

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you could recommend a good sound card so that I can record some music from my turntables onto the computer, to then burn in onto a CD. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Nobody has nay sound card recommendations?

Well, I'm not sure if Creative has released OS X drivers for their SoundBlaster Live Mac cards...so unless you're using OS 9...

Or there's the line-in that's built into certain PowerMacs...

presenting the iMic!



You'll need a basic audio recording app (search Versiontracker) and a basic aiff editing app (QT Pro) to split the tracks. Then use iTunes to burn to CD and you're all set.

Just use OS9's SimpleSound for recording, then do splitting with QTPro.

Try Digidesign ProTools.

how much you willing to spend? check out some maudio stuff...got some great stuff in the 100-300 $ range..
