Didn't see any Galaxy S4 official photos thread, so figured I'd start one up. One of the main features that lured me from my iPhone 5 to the S4 was the camera and all of its modes. Here are two I took yesterday that I really like.

Interesting choice of pic to show off your Macro mode. Surely there was something better to take a picture of, lol.

really good. Love the drama shot - and to think that people said a lot of these features that Samsung added were useless!

Keep them coming.

Smart scroll and air gesture are pretty useless in every day real world scenarios. Adding features into the camera however is not, the camera is also perhaps one of if not the S4's biggest strength.

I didnt realise that the camera on the S4 was set at default to 8 mp and one has to go into the settings in the camera app to change it to 13mp, just done mine. :)

I actually prefer the 16:9 widescreen at 8MP than the 4:3 at 13MP.. unless I'm taking a pic from a distance and need to do some serious cropping

The macro mode continues to impress me. And it's not even a macro mode, it's simply the ability of the S4's camera to focus so well when just an inch or two from objects. Photo below untouched (except for cropping)

Finally found this thread. Here's one testing out the GS4's panorama feature. Taken at Comerica Park in Detroit on Memorial Day. The stitching is pretty damn impressive. Photo is unedited, straight from the phone. Click for full res.

Gorgeous!! (I'm also a baseball geek)

To the OP the second pic. .. is that the head of a pig?

Dead fish actually. Though I do have a pic of a pig's head if you're interested though ;)

it seems to me a lot of the processing is done in software, and it makes me wonder whether the "nexus experience" version of the s4 will take as good a picture as the touchwiz version.

I have Cyanogenmod on my S4 and have taken some pretty good pictures, here they are. (Sorry I don't take many).

The puddle infront of the cat is Catnip Oil I swear :D (It was the only way to get him to stay there)
