Hi guys

Wondering if anyone knows the command to check screen manufacturer for the rMPB 13"?

I can find the command for the 15" rMBP but it does not work with my 13".

ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

That doesn't work?

if I remember correctly, Apple disabled it on 13" rMBP, something to do with people returning perfectly fine LG screens for a Samsung screen.

you can open color sync utility > Devices > Displays > Color LCD > open Factory Profile > scroll to the bottom > open Apple Display Make and Model information > look at the Manufacturer and Model information

You mean on the 13 inch rMBP?

Unfortunately the ColorSync utility information is useless for this purpose. Identical codes have been spotted in MacBooks as far back as 2008.

There's no known way to identify the actual panel manufacturer in 13 in Retina MBPs. This has been discussed at length both here and at ASC for months now.
