iPad How can I turn off wifi and keep app open?

I have a game on my iPad that I need to keep unplugging the modem, so the app does not close, because it only opens when connected to the internet. Is there another way to do this other then unplug the modem? I have been having problems when I plug it back in on my computer where it says something about the DNS not existing or wrong.

Not really sure what you are doing here. The iPad doesn't have a modem, and why are you connecting it to your PC to play games?

If you are just asking can I play a game which requires an internet connection to work without an internet connection, the answer is no. There are lots of iOS games, mainly freemium ones which will not run unless they can talk to a backend server.
