I tried looking and im confused what it means. which will give me faster internet? i can send and receive pictures, imessage works great. any tips will do

As long as you have a T-mobile sim and the phone is unlocked, T-Mobile should automatically push the correct settings to the phone once you go to settings/about if you haven't already.

If you did the carrier update, it will automaticaly configure your phone with the right settings. To make sure, just go to Settings>General>Cellular>Cellular Data Network and tap the "Reset Settings" button on the bottom to load the default carrier update settings.
