When I type a word and it is treated as an unrecognized word, how do I correct this, and make the unrecognized word, recognized!?!?

TextEdit adding a word to its spell check!

I highlighted the word, then in the Menu Bar click on Edit>Spelling and grammar>check spelling and grammar>learn
