10.8.3, upon crash I do NOT want apps to re-start
I'm running 10.8.3, upon crash I do NOT want apps to re-start where they were and re-load.
I just want a totally fresh re-start, no apps to load, when I go into System Pref I can't find where to turn off that "feature".
How can I turn it off?
Please don't say "quit all apps, then re-start".

Holding the <shift> key at LOGIN will stop apps from relaunching. Of course, using the <shift> key at STARTUP will put you in Safe Boot mode, though if you're experiencing kernel panics, this might not be a bad idea.
You could also try the General System Pref pane, where the "Close windows when quitting an application' is the standard method for turning off
the "Resume" feature.
If you are experiencing kernel panics, then really you should find out why this is happening and fix that problem, rather than work around it.
