Hello all,

So I just started using OSX, Been using OS 7-9.2 from way back. I 'm am trying to stop the action of the Function key, so that when I use Flash for example I don't need to simultaneously press the Function key in order to insert a new key frame (F6 is the "insert new key frame" keyboard function for Flash) instead of Muting speaker sound.

In OS 9 I was able to override the Function key, actually kind of flip it's operation so that when I wanted to use the mute, vol up, vol down, brightness etc. I would then simultaneously press the function key.

OS 9 called this feature "Hot Function Key Settings"

Is there a "way" or "will" I need to practice my pinky finger action?

Thanks in advance
