-In the US, contrary to what the media is saying, Apple is doing quite well against Samsung and Android. Apple saw faster growth in both hardware sales and platform marketshare.
-Worldwide, we are still left to grapple with the actual sales figures that Apple releases, vs. the shipped units published by Samsung. My guess is the latter is somewhat bloated by the low-end Samsung phones shipped worldwide, of which Galaxy phones are a small fraction.
-It will be interesting to see how additional carrier agreements + lower cost iPhone shifts the worldwide picture.
