iOS 7: Stable enough for daily use?

I'm a small indie developer who doesn't have a lot of testing devices, so I would need to install iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 that I use daily as a main cellphone. (Plus, it would be pretty cool to use iOS 7). From the people that already have it: How stable is it? Do you think it would be functional enough to work on my iPhone 5?
I know Apple officially says not to install beta software on personal devices, but if I want to test stuff on iOS 7 I don't have much choice...

So, anyways, what's the collective advice of the forum? Should I download it to my phone, or should I wait?

Most people just started downloading it around 10 minutes ago. Its going to be interesting to see how well it plays with certain apps. Can't wait to try it tonight, though! Definitely going to show it off this week to friends. Lol.

But iOS 6 Beta 1 was pretty darn stable; iOS 5 Beta 1 wasn't.

Some iOS 6 apps don't work? You might not be able to use everything you want to.

Can we try to keep this thread updated with stability issues? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's considering installing it on a personal device...

As a small indie dev you should know this most likely wont play nicely with xcode. Meaning you wont be able to test current projects on your phone. I made this mistake last year for iOS6 and since there was no easy way to downgrade I had to install a beta xcode which couldnt upload to the app store meaning my project had to be put on hold for like a month and a half. I would check these things out before installing.

So far, so good. My iCloud backup restored fine. I've done some text messaging and made a call. Notifications came in fine. Mail, Facebook & tweetbot work. There are a few UI glitches here and there with some current apps due to them relying on previous OS UI elements, but good enough so far.

Exchange - ActiveSync?

Anyone have any major problems with Exchange / ActiveSync mail connections? For example, mail won't sync? If so, let me know.

Everything critical is working fine. Siri was fine for me too. It gets sluggish here and there, but it's very stable.

Downloaded but haven't installed yet, just wondering if Find My Friends is still working under iOS 7. Could anyone do a quick test and let me know? Thanks a lot.

Downloaded, but haven't had the courage to install yet. Not sure I trust these sites charging for UDID registration.

I installed it on my 5th gen ipod touch as an upgrade (not a clean install). It has probably crashed once every 3-5 minutes of use. Various apps, including built in ones like music, camera (pano).

Would prefer not to do a clean install as there are some apps with saved games on there that my kids play, but am wondering if there is anything else I can do to improve the stability.

I can live with the little bugs here and there. The only thing is the battery lives. Although I had done clean restore, wiped out settings, etc, the battery consumption remains far far inferior to iOS6. This is of course just a beta software so I'm not complaining. If I just play music with the screen switched off, I could have the device stay at 100% battery after 45 minutes of usage. Yet if I turn on location service with a GPS software running, it would chew up 36% in an hour even with the device switched off. For normal web surfing using WIFI, it lasts me less than 3 hours instead of the normal 8. I have seen some printscreen of other users showing good battery usage, but I believe it depends on what you use it for. For the same usage pattern, this beta version definitely drains far far faster.

After using it though, I'm just unwilling to go back to iOS6 despite the bugs. I'm one of those who really like the new design.

Be sure to bring along a portable charger if you want it for daily use.

I"ve had some issues on my iPhone 4. Like iMessage and FaceTime not working right away, opening of apps is either slow or fast, typing is either slow or fast, freezes, and recently it just went black with the Apple logo on it and then turned back on. So there are definitely some bugs that need to be fixed then again it's the 1st Beta.
