AirDrop in iOS 7 is specifically iOS to iOS device, at least right now. It's possible Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks supports iOS 7 AirDrop (I have yet to install it to test), but as far as Mountain Lion and older, no support.

Airdrop is not going to work unless you find someone with IOS 7 Beta 1 as you. The function Airdrop on IOS 7 is similar to Samsung's S-Beam.

I got it to work between two iPhone 5s. It is a bit buggy, but it does work.

Really hope this feature will be able to be used over our cell service.

it uses a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct. Cellular Network connections are irrelevant.

But doesn't it still show a preview even if they don't accept? Or maybe was I watching that wrong in the keynote, but that looked like what it did.

the other person has to have OPEN for everyone. If you do they can send you a file but like is osx you have to accept it in order to get the file
