How do I go about fixing my screen???

My roommates kid got ahold of my computer and broke the screen. Its not cracked. Its just that it does not stay open right....it falls all the way back and lays flat - making it so that I have to hold the screen up or prop it against something. It also has come apart from the shell.
Does anyone know how much this will cost to fix?
