problem with my rebel T2 focus?

I think there's something wrong with my rebel T2 w/28-90mm lens. I was playing around with the autofocus, and it is focusing real slow, and usually locks in a little off focused.

I'm going shooting tomorrow, just wondering if anyone has an idea. Thanks!
