Apple TV Update - But what is Crunchyroll?

I would describe it as Netflix for Anime. It started out a while ago in a more shady fashion but became legitimate (read: licensed/authorized/etc.)

They are also available in more than the US, which is nice (so is Netflix, but some of the others are not 🙁 )
 
Just a shame the atv only works with a payed crunchyroll account and not a free one, like the other clients do 🙁
 
Crunchyroll lets you legally watch a lot of subtitled anime one hour after it's broadcast in Japan. Non-members can watch most of the same content on the website (but it appears not on the Apple TV) a week later and with adverts. There is also a large back catalogue of series that are available.

The series which are available varies depending on what country you are in with the US having the most content. They also have various dramas but they are only really available in America.

Wish they had dub rather than sub (or an option to filter out sub). I turned off my free trial -- hate reading the TV and not enjoying the animation.

I'd like to see a funimation channel. Crank up some fullmetal brotherhood.

gotta admit this was the last channel would have ever expected.
