I am looking for project management software. Something like MS Project but hopefully not a pain in the ass like MS Project. Something that is actually workable.

I was looking at SharedPlan but I hate the way one enters items in it.

Thanks! :)

I feel your pain (I use MSProject and Project Server every day).

I was going to suggest http://www.openworkbench.org, which I've read is a very good alternative to MSProject - however it only supports Windows. :(

Perhaps you'll spot something here:-

I'd be very interested in hearing back, if you find something good. It's one of the last things I need to completely switch from Windows to Mac. :)

I use PMX.
Lightweight, imports & exports MS Project files.
Not everybody's solution, but it suits me.

I've been using chart constrctor, so simple its been driving me nuts not having all the tools, but for a simple gantt chart resource tracker and cost analyser i guess it's ok
http://www.headshack.com

having looked at dotProject though, I think i might set up that and use it instead
