Try Flip4Mac I have this but have not had the time to sit down and figure it out. It takes Windows Media files and converts them to quicktime format. Try it and let me know how it goes

how big is the file??? i think it might be a problem with your coputer then or the files that you are tryin to convert.. when i convert movies it will get to 100% after 15 minutes or so.. but then it runs for anoth 1 or so... the meter measure thing doesnt work the best sometimes.. but as long as you see that the file is getting bigger... it works... if you go into setup and the third tab you can enter the time of the movie you are converting and it will give you a size estimate so then you can use that to estimate how much longer you have becuase it tells you the current size of thef ile as it converts... if that isnt the case dont kno what to do.. sorry

i dont think its a problem with the computer, i think its the files themselves....the are large around 300 mb...they are downloaded movies (XXX)...and i think they are protected some how....

Yes, super does for FREE what other encoders can't do for money. But when I used super, Freezes every time I click the "Encode" button after dragging and dropping an video file into the program.
then my friend recommend me imedia converter. I used it to convert wmv to mov and avi. works excellent. It can also convert wmv to mp4 for ipod. you can have a try
