How to download a complete web site

I use PageSucker 3.2.

there was a software company at the london mac expo that did just that , but i can not remember what it was called or the company name.

it was able to download a full website and would make changes as the site was updated in the background.

it looked real good

I have often done this with wget, which is free/GPL, and that is also what Deep Vacuum seems to be doing, it just gives you a GUI on top of wget.

Using dreamweaver as my design tool, I simply switch to remote view and GET the entire site. If you PUT an empty folder, you could empty your site, so dont do that!!!

If you are archiving, create a new site using the assistant but designate your backup folder as the local folder - ignore the warnings that it doesnt match. When you are finished the local folder is empty, as long as you set up the ftp info the same, follow my above instruction and it will duplicate the entire site, hidden files and all.
