When I'm scrolling an image on a totally white background the image kind of shimmers, seems like its slightly flickering - I'm guessing it has something to do with refresh rate or response time of the LCD

is this normal and is it like that on yours?

It also happens on my MacBook Air in minecraft and when scrolling images on a white background as well. I don't think it's because of the refresh rate of the LCD. I just think its caused by a driver (maybe, Im not sure). It was fixed on my MBA when I updated to 10.8.3
