Hey Guys,
Hope you're all good and are having good weeks so far!
I recently invested in a MacBook Pro / OS X because I wanted to focus more time in creative pursuits which are primarily around music and video production however on the side.. like a lot of you.. I like a cheeky bit of gaming!
I was surprised upon receiving my MacBook Pro that although its by no means a dedicated gaming system, it can in fact run games at the right settings pretty well (and in style!)
As such I'm keen to give it a try starting a YouTube channel which I have never done before. This would primarily be a space for me to upload my music/video related work but on the side I'm keen to explore gaming aspects....
Setup
System Retina MBP 2.7Ghz, Early 2013, 16GB, 256SSD, Nvidia GeForce 650m 1GB
Webcam: N/A
Screen Recorder: ScreenFlow 4
Mic: Apple iPhone Headphones w/mic
O/S: No Bootcamp, no Windows, just OS X!
Thing is, with so many others out there doing "Lets Play" videos, how can I separate myself and be somewhat unique? What do you guys want to see? I'm keen to produce content for you so please let me know what matters most to you when checking out gameplay videos and I will try to tailor my approach accordingly. A few of you have already given me some advice/comparison videos which has been great - please keep them coming and as I've said, please tell me what you are keen to see, hear and learn from the videos and I will try to tailor my approach to cover as many areas as possible! q|^.^|p
Having said this, I've seen a lot of YouTube videos with some brief clips of gaming on MacBook Pro's but nothing that's continuous or focused, the majority of the videos seem to be games running in Bootcamp which I don't think really helps those that may not wish to run a Bootcamp partition. so, as a rule, no games will be showcased running in Bootcamp, everything will be focused on games running in OS X.
I'm very new to YouTube and MacBook Pro's / OS X so please feel free to leave any advice, guidance, suggestions or requests.
