Playing iPod touch 4G while charging

When i play 3d games on my ipod touch all the time (minecraft pe), and i notice the back gets really hot. Does this damage the battery at all, like decrease battery life or kill the battery?

Probably not. They test their products for operating temp limits and so forth. Probably the only time you should be concerned is if it's in direct sunlight.

The same thing happens to my iPod 4th Gen. Had it over a year and the battery life is roughly the same.

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. If it does get too hot, you'll get a message that says something along the lines of "iPod Touch 4G needs to cool down before you can use it". At this point, it's still just a safety mechanism, and is not a guarantee that your hardware is being damaged.

In my opinion, playing hard game while charging will harm your iPod's battery
