Crashing

When my Mac computer crashes anything i have open just closes and i get a message saying something like...Safari quit unexpectedly ..click report for more info and send to Apple.... Then it says.. Ignore or Report... .. Now could it have anything to do with iTunes?...I don't watch any movies or play any games on my computer.. I mostly just do FB , emails and look up articles.. But i don't open any emails from anyone i dont know..so I'm confused as to why my comp crashes..Thanks for any help.. Its so annoying to be reading something then all of a sudden it just crashes...
