I never really looked into this and thought it would be automatic because Apple likes to simplify things. Now the whole point of extending a network is because your signal is very weak or if you have dead spots. So I decided to actually see what happens when a device has a weak signal.

All devices are pretty good with getting a strong signal with the exception of my iPad and BlackBerry. Now, what I originally thought was if the signal is low, it should or would connect to the AirPort Express but both devices remain connected to the Extreme. What is the point of having an AirPort Express if devices won't connect to it if signal is low? When would it ever connect to the AirPort Express?
