Question Regarding Checking Display Manufacturer Retina 15 in Mavericks

Hey everyone ... does anyone know how to check the display manufacturer in Mavericks just had the original LG changed out because of very noticeable ghosting... want to know what i got as a replacement

the same terminal code from Mountain Lion doesn't seem to work anymore

This works:
ioreg -lw0 | grep \"EDID\" | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r

It's most likely a Samsung. If so, can you help me out here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1612134/.

hmm, that's weird. I get: unknown command 'ioreg'

I wonder what is different between our setups
